About Dr. Josie

I'm a New York licensed clinical psychologist working with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I believe real change happens in a relationship built on warmth, genuine curiosity, and safety; not in a sterile, clinical exchange.

My approach is relational: I pay close attention to your relationships, past and present, and how your early experiences shape the way you connect with people now. I've worked across some of the most high-acuity settings out there; acute hospital units, crisis centers, outpatient clinics, and child welfare agencies; and that range taught me how to stay steady and present with people going through genuinely hard things.

Before and alongside my clinical training, I became a certified yoga teacher and spent time teaching yoga and social skills groups to teens, weaving movement, breath work, and mindfulness into more traditional group skills work. That experience shaped how I think about healing: it doesn't only happen through talking; it happens in the body, too. I still bring that integrative, body-aware lens into my work with clients today. (When I'm not in session, you'll usually find me with a camera in hand; photography is my other long-time way of paying close attention to the world).

I invite you to schedule a free consultation so we can talk about whether we're a good fit.
